History of the visual appearance of the websites & blogs

Here are some of the page formats over the years.

December 2011 onwards

Both the NCPS and NCC Websites' Home pages had a major visual redesign.

The styles of the interior pages and the Blog were changed to match the colour scheme.

September 2011 onwards

The North Cheshire Challenges (NCC) Website and Blog were created in September 2011. Initially they used the colour scheme of the NCPS Website.

 

July 2011

A new NCPS Blog was created, based on WordPress.

Early September 2010 onwards

This is the format developed from the temporary stage below.

Facelift for the website

 
End of August 2010 to early September

A temporary stage in a more significant facelift.

Preliminary website updates for the new season

A new 14-button format.

Display of 4 images on the Home page during summer 2009 and beyond.

November 2008

The "Autumn Trees" experiment for the Home page.

Some conclusions from the experiment.

 

September 2008 onwards

Standard version of the new format in November 2008.

Variants of the top banner, including those for special occasions.

 

August 2008

Mock-ups for a new new format.

These led to the above new standard format.

August 2006 to September 2008

A long-running "8 top buttons" format. About 180 pages created in this period still have this overall format.

First, with the original banner JPEGs. Then with banner JPEGs revised in January 2009.

April 2003 to August 2006

A long-running "9 left buttons" format. About 180 pages created in this period still have this overall format.

First, with the original banner JPEGs. Then with banner JPEGs revised in January 2009.

January 2000 to November 2004

(Focus goes back to March 1999 on the website)

Focus newsletter was published in full during this period.

First the original white version, then the dark blue version, then the above "9 left button" version.
